Team Fortress 2 is now a Free to Play title, Valve has announced.
As the new Team Fortress 2 website points out, the new business structure for the FPS makes it the most highly-rated Free to Play game ever.
Accounts are split into 'free' and 'premium' levels, the developer explains, and anyone who has ever spent money on TF2 has automatically been given a premium account.
Valve adds it has "a few extra features including access to rare and cosmetic items through random item drops, the ability to store more items in your backpack, and more powerful trading and crafting abilities. Otherwise, the gameplay experience will be identical for both account."
