The W.C. Handy Music Festival office is at the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts, 217 E. Tuscaloosa St., Florence.

Popcorn and a Movie — 10 a.m., Alabama Music Hall of Fame, Tuscumbia. Showing "St. Louis Blues," starring Nat King Cole.
Jazz It Up with Trash — 10:30-11:30 a.m., Florence-Lauderdale Public Library, Florence. An In Harmony with Nature Litter-Free Event featuring hands-on activities making musical instruments from recycled materials for ages 3 and older. Special guest: Microwave Dave

Joyful Sounds — 7 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Florence. Dinner and dessert available beginning at 4:30 p.m.; $8, advance ticket required and available at church office. Concert featuring the First United Methodist Adult Choirs and special musical guests is free.
