•Kidnap tale. Diane Sawyer's Sunday Primetimeinterview with kidnap victim Jaycee Dugard drew a big 15.1 million viewers, a summer best for a newsmagazine since 2004.
•Watching. The 13th season premiere of CBS' Big Brother claimed 7.9 million viewers, up half a million from last year.
•Not curbed. The eighth season opener of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm took in 1.7 million viewers, its biggest audience since 2004, helped by lead-in True Blood (5 million).
•Cable corner: MTV's Teen Mom returned with 3.7 million viewers Tuesday, its biggest opener yet; Nickelodeon's Fairly Odd Movie was the week's top cable draw with 5.8 million Saturday; TNT's Men of a Certain Age wrapped its second season with 1.8 million Wednesday; and Starz's Torchwood premiered with 819,000 Friday.
