The first twelve contestants competed in the opening round of the quarter-finals, vying for four spots in the semi-finals.
The live competition began on the July 12, 2011 episode of America's Got Talent. The first part of the quarter-finals found twelve acts competing for the home audience's votes and a place in the next round.

Miami All Stars

After Nick Cannon introduced the judges, the Miami All Stars took the stage. A taped segment revealed they had to change their routine at the last minute when they couldn't get clearance to use the music they had originally picked.
None of that mattered when they took the stage. Their tightly coordinated precision won over all three judges, and Howie Mandel noted that their routine was "fabulous" in spite of the music issues.

I am guessing that the producers told the judges and Nick not to mention the fact that the girl had a really messed up eye. I suppose they didn’t want to draw attention to it if the injury was a result of their motor cycle act which would worry people in the audience. I rarely have a chance to watch TV at home any more as work is becoming more demanding, summer activities to take the kids to and dates with my wife. That’s why I love my DISH Network employee Sling adapter so much that I found out about on besttvforme.com because I get my favorite shows in like AGT when I have spare time but away from home. Now that they are showing the big acts I can’t help but watch the first change I get.
