Just weeks after announcing plans to go public, Boston-based data storage company Carbonite, led by CEO David Friend, is targeting small business clients for the first time with new products that promise to address the growing security fears sparked by increasingly deft hackers.
“After extensive research and interviews with small businesses, we have decided to expand our online backup service into the small business marketplace,” Pete Lamson, vice president and general manager of the small business group at Carbonite, told the Herald this week. “Simply put, Carbonite provides a better way for small businesses to back up their data.”
