James Campbell Company buys back 100 acres of industrial land in Kapolei

Thursday 30 June 2011

HONOLULU — A major Kapolei landowner has repurchased 100 acres of industrial land in the west Oahu town for just over $30 million.
James Campbell Co. said in a news release Wednesday it bought back the land near the Kapolei Home Depot and Costco from a lender group that had assumed control of the property from WKP Hawaii LLC.
The Estate of James Campbell — the predecessor of James Campbell Corp. — had sold the land to WKP in 2006.
James Campbell Co. didn't disclose why it bought the property, or what it planned to use it for.
The lot is also south of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser's printing plant.
