Bryce Harper, Plaxico Burress, NBA Finals 2011 and Tuesday's Sports Stories

Tuesday, 7 June 2011

The NBA Finals continue tonight, with the Dallas Mavericks needing a win to even the series at two games apiece. The game should be a welcome change of pace from a day in which athletes are making more news for their poor decisions than their impressive performances.
Washington Nationals prospect Bryce Harper, never shy about celebrating his own prodigious talents, broke up a scoreless tie with a sixth-inning homer against Class A Greensboro and lingered at the plate to enjoy the moment. When pitcher Zach Neal took vocal exception, Harper responded by blowing him a kiss as he finished his home run trot.

Meanwhile, in the world of athletes actually playing their sports, the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks face off in Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight. After Dwyane Wade and the Heat locked down Dallas for a defensive win in Game 3, can Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs recover their shooting touch for a crucial Game 4?
