Police say a bank robbery suspect is in custody after he barricaded himself inside the home of an Amish family in central Pennsylvania following a high-speed pursuit.
Investigators say 23-year-old Jonathan Agosto-Miletty and another man had robbed a bank of at least $25,000 on Monday afternoon, sparking a chase involving state and local police.
State police say pursuing officers bumped the suspects' vehicle, forcing it to spin out. That's when police say Agosto-Miletty fled on foot and entered an Amish farmhouse in Leola. Investigators say the family was not inside at the time.
Agosto-Miletty surrendered about four hours later. State police say he and his alleged accomplice face charges including robbery and conspiracy. It was not clear if they had retained lawyers.
