Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Rick Ross, Alicia Keys ... Can you say showtime? Tonight it all goes down in Los Angeles for the 2011 BET Awards. Be sure to stay tuned for an unforgettable night of performances and awards.
The 2011 BET Awards Los Angeles is packed with of star power as the cable network recognizes entertainers who impacted the African-American audience. Marked last year with big moments, such as an emotional Chris Brown crying during a Michael Jackson tribute, many fans are wondering how this year’s big moments will unfold. Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, the awards ceremony will focus on the music industry’s movers and shakers along with giving nods to top Hollywood actors and sports figures.

8:01: PM EST - Mary J. Blige, Jadakiss and DJ Khaled open up the show.
8:11 - Chris brown beats out Trey Songz for Best Male R&B Artist.
8:22 - La La Anthony comes out on stage.
8:27 - Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled perform.
8:44 - Nicki Minaj wins Best Hip-Hop artist award. Lil Wayne and Drake escort Nicki to the stage.
8:46 - Jill Scott hits the stage. Actor Idris Elba joins her.
9:00 - Following a performance from After Seven and the Five Heartbeats, the two groups give Diddy-Dirty Money an award for Best group.
9:02 - New artist Mali Music hits the stage as part of this years "Music Matters" campaign.
9:04 - New Jay Electronica Mountain Dew commercial debuts. Where's the album though, Jay?
9:07 - Kevin Hart introduces Chris Brown.
9:08 - What is Chris wearing? Large grey suit with bulging sides.
9:09 - Chris Brown performs "Deuces."
9:10 - Busta Rhymes joins Breezy.
9:14 - Chris Brown wins Best Collaboration. Wayne jumps onstage with Breezy. Says "public speaking not my strong suit" during acceptance speech. Wayne and Busta thank fans.
9:16 - Football player Michael Vick and tennis player Serena Williams win Best Sportsman/Woman Award of the Year.
9:21 - Alicia Keys hits the stage.
9:23 - Bruno Mars joins Alicia Keys on stage.
9:25 - Rick Ross joins Alicia Keys for a special performance of "Maybach Music 2".
9:28 - Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber present Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Kanye West wins.
9:36 - Big Sean performs "My Last" with Chris Brown, a good look for the G.O.O.D. Music artist with his debut album Finally Famous in stores on Tuesday.
9:40 - Johnny Gill introduces "Music Matters" artist Kimberly Nicole.
9:48 - Cherelle and Alexander O'Neal perform "Saturday Love," present Best New Artist. Wiz Khalifa wins.
9:49 - Wiz kisses Amber Rose on way to accept award.
9:52 - Young Money artists Tyga and Lil Twist announce upcoming tour.
9:56 - Trey Songz performs. The singer's set follows his greatest year to date.
9:57 - The singer rips shirt off and bares his muscular chest.
9:58 - Trey performs "Unusual." Throws on his black fitted cap.
10:00 - Trey brings out Kelly Rowland for "Motivation."
10:02 - Trey Songz re-emerges on stage.
10:04 - Kevin Hart shows appreciation to Armed Forces.
10:05 - BET President Debra Lee honors comedian Steve Harvey for Humanitarian Award.
10:10 - A teary eyed Steve Harvey kisses his wife then accepts award.
10:15 - Kevin Hart introduces Rev. Al Sharpton.
10:16 - Sharpton pleads with audience to ask for donations for flood victims in the South.
10:17 - Donnie McClurkin performs "Thank You."
10:18 - Deitrick Haddon and Mary Mary joins stage with McClurkin.
10:21 - The Braxtons present Best Gospel Artist. The collective sing the nomination in harmony.
10:22 - Mary Mary accepts award, one of Gospel music's all time great duos.
10:28 - Gladys Knight presents Lifetime Achieve Award to fellow singer and good friend Patti LaBelle.
10:32 - Cee-Lo covers Patti's "Somebody Loves You Baby (You Know Who It Is)" complete with Patti's signature hairstyle. Cee-Lo mocks Patti with his can of hairspray.
10:34 - Marsha Ambrosius performs " If Only You Knew."
10:36 - First Lady of Gospel singer Shirley Caesar honors LaBelle.
10:40 - Last year Patti created a moment when honoring Price, kicking off her shoes. This year Patti LaBelle accepts Lifetime Achievement Award.
10:41 - Gladys receives an emotional hug from Patti. The crowd cheer on the moment.
10:46 - Patti performs "Love, Need and Want You." Patti's voice is one of the best in gospel and original music.
10:49 - Patti performs "Lady Marmalade."
10:56 - BET hosts mistakenly announce award to Chris Brown then gives to Rihanna for "Whats My Name."
10:57 - Drake accepts award and acknowledeges the moment "Well that was strange."

 - Cali Swag is joined by Doug E. Fresh onstage to remember fallen group member M-Bone. 'We love you, bro" the group recall.
10:59 - Clarence Clemmons, Nate Dogg all remembered during the show. The crowd cheer on the late music stars.
11:00 - Warren G. and Snoop, dressed in all black perform "Regulate" honoring one of Hip-Hop's greatest hook men, Nate Dogg.
11:01 - Queen Latifah honors Gil-Scott Heron with his infamous "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" poem. Tonight, the revolution was televised. R.I.P. Gil-Scott.
11:03 - Teena Marie remembered, one of the greatest soul singers.
11:10 - Where's Chocolate Drop?
11:10 - What beef? Wiz introduces Wayne, Khaled, Ross and Drake for "I'm On One."
11:11 - Drake and Khaled go back and forth over his infectious verse and hook.
11:12 - Drizzy is wearing an interesting shirt, a black sweater with an owl on it.
11:12 - Ross joins the set looking like a superstar with a black suede diamond studded jacket.

 - The Young Money crew is going nuts, reciting the songs lyrics.
11:14 - Is Wayne wearing just boxers?
11:14 - The Young Money head emerges from the floor shirtless, with shorts made of the American flag.
11:15 - Wayne is clearly happy to be here, bopping across the stage.
11:15 - "Nicki Minaj, Drake and Wayne is the best" Wayne says as he exits the stage. Major statement.
11:16 - Beyonce performs live from Glastonbury backed by a piano player and full band.
11:19 - Beyonce performs new song, "End Of Time" as her international audience shout out BET.
11:26 - Chris Brown wins Fandemonium award. This has been Brown's comeback year, hands down.
11:27 - Brown accepts the award while sitting on a bike on stage.
